Created to Create: Freedom in Creating Art

Since middle school I have loved creating in various styles sketching, drawing, printing, painting, doodling, sculpting. I just enjoy creating art among other things. Over time beautiful life has happened and creating art (other than the occasional doodle) was an afterthought. This year ABBA reminded how much I enjoy creating. HE reminded me that my gifts are from HIM to be used for HIS kingdom.

I was also convicted about wasting the talents HE entrusted me with (Matthew 25:14-30). One of my favorite things HE has shown me is the BOLDNESS I have in HIM (2 Timothy 1:7). Over the summer I began doing prophetic art for Rosh Kodesh (New Moon) night of worship. Painting while worshiping has been an incredible experience and it amazes me how the Ruach (Spirit) has moved through the paintings and the Words spoken. It has been an uncomfortable but beautiful journey of. surrending, breaking chains, refining, and deepening my walk with my Savior.

Creating art in front of people is something I never thought about doing, let alone speaking in front of people. Yet here I am six months later still creating and speaking as the Ruach leads. In Messiah I have been using this voice for HIS kingdom (Matthew 5:14-15). Something I have allowed fear to hold me back from doing for so long. I am gaining freedom in creating art for HIS glory. I am being encouraged and strengthened in the Word and I’m able to encourage others in it as well. HalleluYAH!!! What is ABBA using to set you free?
