Mark 12:30

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.

When Yeshua declared this as the greatest commandment, He was calling us into a relationship of complete devotion to YAH. This verse isn’t just about words or feelings—it’s a lifestyle. It challenges us to love YAH with every part of who we are: our emotions, our thoughts, our energy, and even our physical bodies.

1. Love Him with All Your Heart

Our heart is the wellspring of our emotions and desires. Loving YAH with all our heart means prioritizing Him above all else—placing Him at the center of our affections. Ask yourself: What does my heart long for most? Let your passion for YAH drive your worship, your choices, and your relationships.

2. Love Him with All Your Soul

Our soul is the eternal part of us, the essence of who we are. Loving YAH with our soul means surrendering our identity and will to His purposes. It’s about aligning our inner being with His Spirit, trusting Him to guide our journey. When our soul finds rest in Him, we experience true peace.

3. Love Him with All Your Mind

Loving YAH with our mind means being intentional about what we think and dwell on. Are our thoughts filled with His truth, His promises, and His Word? Loving Him with our mind also means seeking understanding through His Word, meditating on His wisdom, and guarding against thoughts that lead us away from Him.

4. Love Him with All Your Strength

Strength encompasses our physical energy, resources, and actions. Loving YAH with our strength means using the gifts and abilities He has given us to serve Him and others. It’s about honoring Him through how we care for our bodies, how we work, and how we serve in His Kingdom.

Take a moment to examine each area of your life.

  • Are you loving YAH with all your heart, or are there distractions pulling your focus away from Him?
  • Does your soul rest in His presence, or is it burdened by the cares of this world?
  • Do your thoughts reflect His truth, or are they influenced by fear or negativity?
  • Are you using your strength to glorify Him in all you do?

Practical Steps for YAH-First Wellness:

  1. Heart: Begin your day with worship, inviting YAH to fill your heart with His presence.
  2. Soul: Set aside time for prayer, connecting deeply with Him and surrendering your will to His.
  3. Mind: Meditate on a verse from Scripture daily, renewing your thoughts with His truth.
  4. Strength: Commit to healthy habits that honor the body He has given you—whether through exercise, rest, or nourishment.

Prayer:

Father YAH, we desire to love You with our whole being. Help us to give You our heart, soul, mind, and strength, holding nothing back. Teach us to honor You in every part of our lives and to place You first in all we do. May our love for You be evident in how we live, serve, and grow. In Yeshua’s name, Amen.

Let your love for YAH fuel your journey of wellness—body, soul, and spirit!
