Hearing The Voice of YAH

Have you ever wondered why some people seem to hear YAH (God) so clearly,

while others feel like they’re met with silence? The truth is, YAH has been speaking all along. Often, the issue isn’t that He’s silent; it’s that we’re too distracted to hear Him. Thankfully, the Bible offers guidance on tuning our spiritual ears to discern His voice.
At YAH First Wellness, we believe that focusing on God aligns every aspect of life with His purpose and brings clarity and peace. Let’s explore biblical principles that can help us hear YAH with confidence. Whether you’re just starting to seek His guidance or wish to deepen your connection, these insights can transform your relationship with YAH.

YAH Desires Communication with Us
From Genesis to Revelation,

YAH consistently communicates with His people. Hebrews 1:1-2 reminds us that, in the past, YAH spoke through prophets, and in these last days, He speaks through His Son. The dialogue is open; the question is, are we prepared to listen?

YAH’s communication often aligns with His purpose for our lives. Jeremiah 29:11 reveals that He has plans for us—plans to prosper and not to harm. If you’re not hearing Him clearly, ask yourself if you’re in alignment with His purpose. As you align with His plan, His guidance becomes more apparent.

Growing in Spiritual Maturity

Hearing YAH is not automatic; it develops with spiritual maturity. Hebrews 5:14 teaches that mature believers train their senses to discern between good and evil. Like physical muscles, our spiritual senses grow through consistent prayer, worship, and obedience.
Obedience is foundational to hearing YAH. James 1:22 encourages us to be “doers of the word, and not hearers only.” Why would God reveal something new if we ignore what He has already shared? Acting in faith builds a stronger connection with Him, enhancing our ability to hear His voice.

THE ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is our guide on this journey. In John 16:13, Yeshua promises that “The Spirit will lead you into all truth.” Believers have access to the Counselor, who helps us understand YAH’s voice. Yeshua says in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” YAH’s voice might come through scripture, circumstances, people, or directly in our hearts. Our role is to be open and ready.

YAH’s voice has always been close, as the Bible shows through encounters like Moses with the burning bush, Elijah with a whisper, and dreams in the New Testament. Hebrews 1:1-2 confirms YAH’s voice is personal and accessible, especially through Yeshua.

[…] Obeying isn’t always about following a rule—it’s about hearing and responding to God’s leading through the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would guide us in all truth (John 16:13). In everyday life, this might look like sensing God’s guidance in a moment when we’re unsure what to do. Sometimes obedience is not about following a set of written instructions but about listening for God’s voice. […]
